California-born pianist and songwriter Bill Wence has shared stages and studios with Bobby Bare, Tom T. Hall, Wanda Jackson, Cristy Lane, and Slim Whitman. At Bare’s encouragement, Wence moved to Nashville in 1973, where he wrote four Billboard-charting singles for himself as an artist between 1979 and 1980 and more than a dozen Billboard-charting singles for other artists.
