Family Program: Tejano Dance Workshop
Country musician Freddy Fender drew inspiration from his roots in Tejano music, a style of music from southern Texas that fuses Mexican and American sounds in distinct ways. Join Ballet Folklorico Sol De Mexico, a local professional dance group, for a beginner class exploring Hispanic heritage through dance. No dance skills necessary. Presented in support of the Museum’s Discover Freddy Fender project, part of a series exploring diverse voices in country music. Program made possible by a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission. All ages. Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with Museum admission. Free to Museum members.
