Museum Admission Program for Locals

Community Counts

Through Community Counts, youth from eligible Tennessee counties are admitted free, and up to two accompanying adults can receive free or discounted admission.

Community Counts is intended for family use and are not applicable to group visits. If you are organizing a visit on behalf of a Tennessee school or youth group, please review program and pricing options here. Please see below for additional details on the Community Counts: Museum Admission Program for Locals.

Community Counts provides free general admission to youth 18 and under from the following counties:

  • Cheatham
  • Davidson
  • Robertson
  • Rutherford
  • Sumner
  • Williamson
  • Wilson

For proof of residency, please wear a school t-shirt or present one of the following:

  • School ID
  • Library Card

Guests ages 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult/chaperone who is 18+. Up to two adults accompanying the youth can also receive a 25 percent off General Museum Admission. To receive the discount, the accompanying adult(s) must also live in one of the participating counties and present a government-issued ID or a utility bill that shows proof of residency.

Youth 13 and older do not need a chaperone.

The free admission for youth and the adult discount do not apply to Audio Tours, Studio B Tours, or Hatch Show Print Tours. Guests are welcome to purchase these as a stand-alone ticket.

Free Museum Admission for up to 2 adults is available by checking out the Community Counts Passport at any Nashville Public Library location.

Passports must be picked up in person at a library—they are not available digitally—then presented to the Museum’s Information Desk in exchange for Museum tickets. Passports must be presented by the library cardholder and are only valid for the cardholder and a guest from eligible counties (Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, and Wilson counties). Proof of residency is required. Passports are non-transferable.

The Community Counts Passport is a partnership of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum and Nashville Public Library.
