Skip Ewing wrote “I Believe” (Diamond Rio), “If I Didn’t Have You” (Randy Travis), “Love, Me” (Collin Raye), “Rebecca Lynn” and “Someone Else’s Star” (Bryan White), “Something That We Do” (Clint Black), “Wish You Were Here” (Mark Wills), “You Had Me from Hello” (Kenny Chesney), and songs recorded by Tracy Byrd, George Jones, Sammy Kershaw, Reba McEntire, Kenny Rogers, Doug Stone, Keith Urban, and Zac Brown Band. In 2025, Ernest and Lainey Wilson recorded his song “Would If I Could,” written thirty years ago with Dean Dillon. Ewing also wrote many of his singles as a recording artist, including “Burnin’ a Hole in My Heart,” “I’m Not Supposed to Love You Anymore,” “I Want It All,” “It’s You Again,” and “Stronger Where You’re Broken” featuring Mae Estes.
