Mark O’Connor is a Grammy- and Country Music Association award-winning composer, violinist/fiddler, guitarist, mandolin player, and educator. He began as a child prodigy and has performed, recorded, and composed music in multiple genres during his fifty-year career. O’Connor has released numerous solo albums; written concertos performed by the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony, and the London Philharmonic Orchestra; and collaborated with Sam Bush, Bela Fleck, Yo-Yo Ma, Tony Rice, and Wynton Marsalis. His playing can be heard on more than 500 albums by artists including the Judds, Dolly Parton, Paul Simon, James Taylor, and Randy Travis, and his influential O’Connor Method of fiddle instruction is widely used by hundreds of music teachers around the world.
