Grammy-winning trumpet player and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Herb Alpert is celebrating more than 60 years since recording his first hit song “The Lonely Bull” in 1962 with his band the Tijuana Brass. In all, Alpert has recorded more than 40 albums and produced many artists, including Sérgio Mendes and Brasil ‘66, Gato Barbieri, Michel Colombier, Stan Getz and Lani Hall, among others. With Jerry Moss, Alpert co-founded A&M Records and built it with artists including the Carpenters, Janet Jackson, Quincy Jones, Carole King and Sting. Hall is a Grammy-winning vocalist, producer and former lead singer of Brasil ‘66 with Sérgio Mendes. She has performed throughout the world, recorded more than 20 albums in three different languages and has written many songs as well as a book, “Emotional Memoirs & Short Stories.”

Alpert and Hall, who are married, will perform an eclectic mix of American standards, Brazilian jazz, some Beatles and some classic Tijuana Brass and Brasil ‘66 songs, as well as some holiday songs and other surprises. The informal shows include answering questions from the audience about their careers, A&M Records and the many iconic artists with whom they have both worked over the past 50 years. The show also features a video screen displaying hundreds of classic photos, videos and various memorabilia from Alpert and Hall’s lengthy music careers.
