Film Preview and Discussion: They Called Us Outlaws: The Cosmic Cowboys, Honky-Tonk Heroes, and Rise of Renegade Troubadours
They Called Us Outlaws is an upcoming twelve-hour documentary that takes us back to the cosmic 1970s when Outlaw singers and songwriters began blazing new trails of independence that continue to impact American music. Narrated by Jack Ingram and featuring over one hundred interviews with both the era’s most iconic figures and those who carry the torch today, the six-part epic is executive produced by Jessi Colter in partnership with the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. This program will include an exclusive screening of a segment focused on the legendary Austin music venue Armadillo World Headquarters and a discussion with filmmaker Eric Geadelmann and key players from the series.
