Have you ever wanted to play a ukulele? Now is your chance! In this fun, hands-on workshop, participants will learn and practice a few ukulele basics, then accompany special guest harmonica player Carlos DeFord Bailey, a musician who performs in the tradition of his grandfather, Country Music Hall of Fame member DeFord Bailey. Known as the “Harmonica Wizard,” the elder Bailey was an influential harmonica player in both country music and blues, one of the Grand Ole Opry’s most popular early performers, and country music’s first Black star. Ukuleles provided, or bring your own. Recommended for ages 7 and up, but all are welcome. Presented in support of Ford Community Day. Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with Museum admission. Free.
