CMT executive Leslie Fram hosts this showcase and discussion featuring artists involved in the media brand’s Next Women of Country franchise, which launched in 2013 and highlights up-and-coming country artists. Kimberly Kelly’s 2022 album, I’ll Tell You What’s Gonna Happen, features the singles “Summers Like That” and “Blue Jean Country Queen,” which Kelly co-wrote. She has opened for Tracy Byrd, Tracy Lawrence, and Clay Walker. Catie Offerman’s first radio single, “I Just Killed A Man,” will be out later this month. It follows four tracks released in 2022, all of which she co-wrote including “Happyland Trailer Park,” “Don’t Do It in Texas,” “Get a Dog”, and “’Til I See You Again.” She has opened for Tyler Hubbard and Parker McCollum. MaRynn Taylor wrote her 2023 single, “Make You Mine,” as well as four songs on her 2022 EP, Something I Would Do. Earlier this year, she sang the national anthem before the NFL’s AFC divisional playoff game between the Buffalo Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals. Kasey Tyndall co-wrote her 2022 single “Jesus and Joan Jett” and her 2023 single with Dylan Marlowe, “Place for Me.” She has opened for Kane Brown, Jamey Johnson, and Drake White. Julie Williams followed her 2021 single, “Southern Curls,” with 2023’s “Wrong Mr. Right.” She frequently performs with the Black Opry Revue, a showcase featuring Black artists in Americana, blues, country, and folk music.
