Freddy Fender was a country and Tejano musician who used both English and Spanish in his songs and was greatly influenced by the sounds of his upbringing in southern Texas. Join us as we create an art project centered around Freddy Fender and his music. Participants will be given materials to make a tissue paper flower that they can make at the fair or take home. Presented in support of the Museum’s Discover Freddy Fender project, part of a series exploring diverse voices in country music, and the 55th Annual Spring Tennessee Craft Fair. Program made possible by a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission. Takes place at Centennial Park, 2500 West End Ave., Nashville, TN, 37203. All ages. Free.
