Biography


Country music songwriter. Born September 23, 1947. In the early 1990s emerged as one of Nashville’s most successful songwriters. Named ASCAP Songwriter of the Year, 1992.

Alger describes the journey he took to Nashville, what it is like to be a successful songwriter, and the current direction of his career.
