Biography


Western swing musician. Born 1908. Died 1986. Pianist. Full name: Alton Meeks Stricklin. AKA: “Brother” Al Stricklin. Member of Bob Wills & His Texas Playboys from the mid-1930s-early 1940s. Appeared on numerous recordings by the band, including “New San Antonio Rose.” Author, My Years with Bob Wills (San Antonio, Tex.: Naylor, Co., 1976).
