NASHVILLE, Tenn. July 14, 2026 – In support of the opening of the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum’s exhibition Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward, presented by Blue Chair Bay Rum, the colorfully decorated school bus from Chesney’s “American Kids” music video and The Big Revival album cover will be part of a pop-up experience in Walk of Fame Park, located across the street from the museum. The experience, offered in collaboration with the Nashville Downtown Partnership, invites the public to engage in a photo opportunity with the bus, win prizes and play summertime games in the park. All activities are free and open to the public between 4 and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, July 22, and between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. from Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, July 26, weather permitting.

During select times each day, attendees will also be able to print their own Chesney exhibit keepsake poster from Hatch Show Print — the nearly 150-year-old letterpress print shop owned and operated by the museum. Visit the museum’s website for hours.

Chesney’s #1 hit “American Kids” celebrated the individuality of creative, freewheeling young people. The bus — hand-painted by Chesney and his friends — represents the freedom to follow your path, love your friends and find joy in the moment.

Kenny Chesney: Living in Fast Forward chronicles Chesney’s path to stardom, from his early years experiencing music on the radio and on local TV stations, playing for tips and being part of East Tennessee State University’s bluegrass band to becoming one of the top touring acts of the century. Included with museum admission, the exhibit opens July 23 and runs until June 2027. More information can be found here.

Also, on opening day of the exhibit, July 23, museum visitors will be able to design their own paper version of the “American Kids” bus between 1 and 3 p.m. in the museum’s Taylor Swift Education Center. (All ages. Included with museum admission. Free to museum members.)
