James T. Slater wrote the Grammy-nominated songs “God Whispered Your Name” (Keith Urban), “High Cost of Living” (Jamey Johnson), and “In My Daughter’s Eyes” (Martina McBride). His songs have also been recorded by Kenny Chesney, Luke Combs, Lady A, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Willie Nelson, Old Dominion, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Carrie Underwood, and Chris Young.
