Jimmy Hall first gained popularity in the early 1970s, as the lead vocalist, saxophonist, and harmonica player for Wet Willie, the Mobile, Alabama–based southern rock band known for songs including “Keep on Smilin’,” “Street Corner Serenade,” and “Weekend.” He has also toured extensively as a vocalist in Jeff Beck’s band and served as Hank Williams Jr.’s longtime bandleader. Additionally, the Allman Betts Band, Blackberry Smoke, and Tedeschi Trucks Band routinely feature Hall as a guest artist. Hall’s most recent solo album, 2022’s Ready Now, was produced by acclaimed blues guitarist Joe Bonamassa and went to #1 on the Billboard Blues Albums chart. Ford Theater.
