Musician Spotlight: Audley Freed
Guitarist and songwriter Audley Freed is a longtime member of Sheryl Crow’s band and has also shared stages and studios with the Black Crowes, the Chicks, Rodney Crowell, Jakob Dylan (the Wallflowers), Robben Ford, Peter Frampton, Gov’t Mule, Johnny Hallyday, Jason Isbell & the 400 Unit, Jimmy Page, and Joe Perry (Aerosmith). He has written songs recorded by Gary Allan, Wade Bowen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Chris Robinson (the Black Crowes), and Train. Freed was also a founding member of the North Carolina rock band Cry of Love and was a house band member for Willie Nelson’s ninetieth birthday celebration and NBC’s Elvis All-Star Tribute.
