Musician Spotlight: Appalachia featuring Richie Owens and Bob Ocker
Appalachia is the acoustic duo of Richie Owens and Bob Ocker. Their performances celebrate the deep roots of Appalachian tradition and the voices that shaped American folk and country music. A direct descendant of Appalachian preacher-songwriter Jake Owens and a cousin to Country Music Hall of Fame member Dolly Parton, Owens is an author, award-winning music producer, filmmaker, and multi-instrumentalist. His credits span from producing Parton’s Hungry Again album to performing with a range of lauded artists, including the Georgia Satellites and Leon Russell.
