Sing, dance, and play as a family at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum the second Saturday of each month. Designed for families with children 5 years old and younger, Fam Jam is a participatory music-making experience, led by Museum educators and a guest artist, that introduces young children to country music instruments and encourages child development through moving, singing, and listening. This session will spotlight the mandolin and feature Anne Buckle, a songwriter and children’s author, a descendant of Country Music Hall of Fame members the Carter Family, and an accomplished fiddle player who has shared the stage with Country Music Hall of Fame member Charlie Daniels, toured with the rock band Augustana, and opened concerts for the Chicks. Family music-making promotes language acquisition and development of cognitive, social, and motor skills—and it’s fun! Ages 0-5. Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with Museum admission. Tennessee children ages 18 and under from Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, and Wilson counties receive free Museum admission.
