Creative Zone: DeFord Bailey DIY Harmonicas

Sunday, February 17, 2019 - 10:00am

Create your own harmonica from household materials, inspired by country music’s first African American star, DeFord Bailey. A popular early fixture on the Grand Ole Opry, Bailey played innovative harmonica music that often was influenced by sounds around him, like chugging trains and barking hounds. What sounds will you make on your new harmonica? All ages. Taylor Swift Education Center.
