Country music performer and pioneer dobro player. Born March 6, 1904. Died April 2, 1983. Full name: Clifford Raymond Carlisle. Career active from the late 1920s-early 1950s. Radio and stage performer, songwriter, and recording artist. Performed both solo and with his brother Bill as a member of the Carlisle Brothers.
