NASHVILLE, Tenn., July 26, 2016 – The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum has just released Historic RCA Studio B: Home of 1,000 Hits, the official souvenir book for the Studio. Generously illustrated with rare photos from the museum’s archives and from the archives of Sony Music in New York, Historic RCA Studio B: Home of 1,000 Hits traces the story of the studio from its birth in 1957, on what would become known as Music Row, through its role in the city’s striking musical evolution, to its place today as both working studio and tourism mecca, celebrating a magical, bygone era.

Historic RCA Studio B is a landmark, with a legacy built by some of the most important producers and artists in country and pop music. During a golden window, from 1957 to 1977, approximately 18,000 sessions were recorded within its walls, including more than 200 songs by Elvis Presley. The many hits spread Nashville’s reputation as Music City worldwide.

Historic RCA Studio B™ is the “Home of 1,000 Hits,” where stars like Eddy Arnold, Roy Orbison, Dolly Parton, Elvis Presley, and Charley Pride recorded some of American music’s most enduring songs. The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum began operating Studio B as a historic site in 1977 and in 1996 restored the primary studio area to its original look. Through the Museum, educational tours and recording opportunities are offered to students, arts organizations, educational institutions, and visitors.
