“Slick” Joe Fick is one of Nashville’s most in-demand bassists and is widely known in the slap bass world for his virtuosic technique and acrobatic showmanship. He performed or recorded with early rock pioneers Sonny Burgess, James Burton, Cordell Jackson, and Wanda Jackson, and with Country Music Hall of Fame vocal group the Jordanaires. Fick portrayed Elvis Presley bassist Bill Black in the 2005 film Walk the Line, and he played upright bass on the soundtrack to the 2022 film Elvis. Ford Theater. Included with Museum admission.
