Sing, dance, and play as a family at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum the first Saturday of each month. Designed for families with children 5 years old and younger, Fam Jam is a participatory music-making experience led by Museum educators and a guest artist. The program introduces young children to country music instruments and encourages child development through moving, singing, and listening. This session will spotlight the fiddle and feature Anne Buckle, a songwriter and children’s author, a descendant of the Carter Family, and an accomplished fiddle player who has shared the stage with Country Music Hall of Fame member Charlie Daniels, toured with the rock band Augustana, and opened concerts for the Chicks. Family music-making promotes language acquisition and the development of cognitive, social, and motor skills—and it’s fun! Come learn and play!
