Creative Zone: Velvet Elvis
Create a velvet painting inspired by the Velvet Elvis craze of the 1970s using black velvet, pastels, and black light paint. Velvet paintings, which originated in the Kashmir region of India and were popularized in Mexico, often featured animals, landscapes, or musicians, and velvet paintings of Elvis Presley are still the most well-known version of this art form. Bring your imagination and make velvet art with us! All ages. Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with Museum admission. Free to Museum members.
