Educator Resources
Through the following activities, students in grades 3–6 and 7–12+ are encouraged to explore the music and materials offered on From Where I Stand: The Online Experience.
Use the listening list (grades 3–12+) to explore music from each disc. Educators can extend the learning by completing the activities with additional listening examples.
Standards
Activities align with several interdisciplinary standards. National Arts Standards alignments include:
- Anchor 7: Perceive and analyze artistic work.
- Anchor 8: Interpret intent and meaning in artistic work.
- Anchor 10: Synthesize and relate knowledge and personal experiences to make art.
- Anchor 11: Relate artistic ideas and works with societal, cultural, and historical context to deepen understanding.
