Louise Scruggs Memorial Forum
As the general manager of Sugar Hill Records, Bev Paul led the label’s growth from an artist-centric boutique bluegrass label to a significant marketplace competitor. During her tenure, Sugar Hill scored hits with Nickel Creek and Dolly Parton; and Grammy award-winning releases from the Del McCoury Band, Jerry Douglas, and others. By collaborating with other labels and sharing her expertise, she strived to grow the entire American roots music industry, participating in the founding of the Americana Music Association.
The Louise Scruggs Memorial Forum is presented annually to honor a music industry leader who exemplifies the legacy of Louise Scruggs.
