Chris Coleman is a musician, photographer, and painter. He has traveled the world as guitarist for his wife, Holly Williams (daughter of Hank Williams Jr.), and as a member of the rock bands Kings of Leon and Luna Halo. His interest in art began with photography; he developed an artistic eye by documenting his travels and sharing his photos with fans.
Seeking other forms of expression, Coleman began painting, coming upon a distinctive style based on simple lines and bold brushstrokes. His powerful images reflect his interest in history and the mythic Old West. Created spontaneously, in rapid bursts of inspiration, Coleman’s monoprints evoke strong emotions and a longing for a way of life that no longer exists. An art critic described his work as having “a minimalist style that doesn’t dictate the story, but rather beautifully allows it.”
