The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum is excited to reveal the final phase of its state-of-the-art expansion. The ambitious 210,000-square-foot expansion more than doubles the size of the Museum and augments the institution’s ability to focus on its core mission to preserve, interpret and teach the history of country music.

Previously unveiled sections of the expansion include an additional 10,000 square feet of dynamic new exhibit space; new education, entertainment, retail and event spaces, including the 800-seat CMA Theater; the Taylor Swift Education Center; the legendary and thriving letterpress operation Hatch Show Print; and the Event Hall with breathtaking views overlooking the Nashville skyline. The expansion also includes much needed archive and library spaces, allowing for even more robust cultivation of the museum’s treasured collection.

The permanent, chronological exhibition has been updated to include over 100 brand new artifacts from today’s hottest country artists, including Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Brad Paisley, Eric Church, Carrie Underwood and others. Enjoy the latest chapter in country music’s ever-evolving story through this hands-on immersion into the music of today.

Dinah and Fred Gretsch Family Gallery

This new interactive gallery will educate and thrill visitors of all ages. Experience country music like never before through a 40-foot guitar, replica tour bus, songwriting stations, recording booth, and dozens of technology-enhanced activities that will leave you “Certified Country.”

The Design Gallery: A Window into the Collection

Go behind the scenes of the Museum as curators and archivists prepare artifacts for exhibition and carry out other tasks related to the preservation and interpretation of the Museum’s collection. Taylor Swift Education Center

Seven-time Grammy Award winner Taylor Swift officially opened the education center that bears her name on October 12, 2013. The 7,000-square-foot Taylor Swift Education Center includes classrooms and a learning lab with built-in technology to facilitate distance learning and outreach programs. The Taylor Swift Education Center allows the Museum to expand its current school and family programs, as well as develop new programs and serve new audiences. Swift's $4 million gift to fund this new new education center is the largest capital contribution by an individual artist in the Museum's history.

New Home for Iconic Hatch Show Print

After 135 years in five different locations around downtown Nashville, Hatch Show Print moved to 224 5th Avenue South in October 2013. This move enabled this iconic business, another historic property of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, the chance to realize more room to continue to preserve, maintain and show the collection of type, blocks, and posters. The new facility features a larger, custom-designed print shop where visitors can watch posters roll off the presses; a store with wall space to display the 100-plus posters created by the print shop and available for purchase; Hatch Show Print's Haley Gallery, featuring historic restrikes of original posters from the Hatch collection, as well as Master Printer Jim Sherraden's monoprints – contemporary interpretations and celebrations of theclassic wood blocks of Hatch Show Print; Hatch Show Print Space for Design, a classroom and workshop space that will offer visitors opportunities to learn more through demonstrations, hands-on printing and more in-depth programs.

The Museum’s new expanded event spaces, include the beautiful new 10,000-square-foot Event Hall with a sweeping view of the downtown Nashville skyline, as well as the connecting outdoor Carlton Terrace, new 800-seat, state-of-the-art CMA Theater, and more.
