Apr 16, 202002:00 PM - 02:30 PM
2:00 PM – 2:30 PM
Words & Music at Home, the museum’s educational program for aspiring songwriters of all ages, is hosting a special series of appearances with highly-regarded songwriters on Instagram Live @OfficialCMHOF.
The inaugural session will feature a performance and conversation about songwriting with fast-rising native Canadian star Tenille Townes. Townes, a singer, songwriter, and recording artist for Sony/RCA, recently released an EP, Road to the Lemonade Stand, that includes her #1 Canadian country hits “Jersey on the Wall (I’m Just Asking)” and “Somebody’s Daughter.” Townes is currently nominated for two Academy of Country Music Awards as well as two Canadian Juno Awards. She was CCMA Songwriter of the Year in 2019, when she took four honors in all. iHeartCountry, Amazon Music, CMT, the Bobby Bones Show, and Opry NextStage all have proclaimed her great potential.
