Words & Music at Home: Blanco Brown
May 14, 202002:00 PM - 02:30 PM
2:00 PM – 2:30 PM
This session of Words & Music at Home features producer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and Wheelhouse Records recording artist Blanco Brown. Brown wrote all of the songs on his 2019 debut album, Honeysuckle & Lightning Bugs, including the #1 single “The Git Up.” His songs have been recorded by Fergie and Pitbull, and his latest writing credits include his single “I Need Love” and “Do Si Do,” a genre-bending collaboration with Diplo. Raised in Atlanta, Brown spent summers with family in rural Butler, Georgia. He cites Johnny Cash, Tim McGraw, and OutKast as influences that led to the creation of his sound, which he calls “TrailerTrap.” Billboard named Brown one of “Seven Country Acts to Watch in 2019.”
