Virtual Homeschool Day: Write and Draw Like an Outlaw: Shel Silverstein Style

Join a Museum educator to explore the exhibit Outlaws and Armadillos: Country’s Roaring ’70s and learn more about Shel Silverstein, who wrote children’s books as well as Outlaw country songs. Learn to write a Silverstein-style poem inspired by his whimsical writing and draw an illustration along with visual artist Britt McDermott.
Recommended for ages five to twelve, but all are welcome. Guardian is required to be present for children under thirteen.
Takes place via Zoom. Space is limited. Registration and $10 family fee required. Museum members with family-level memberships are free.

- Paper
- Drawing or writing tool, like a pencil or marker
By signing up for this program, you are confirming that a guardian will be present with youth under age thirteen. An educator will send a Zoom invitation to you by 9:30 a.m. the morning of the program.
