Steve Wariner Holiday Concert and Tour at Historic RCA Studio B
Dec 13, 2019
7:30 PM – 8:30 PM
Join Grammy-winning recording artist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Steve Wariner for an intimate performance of original songs, holiday tunes, and reinterpretations of classic hits recorded in Studio B. Wariner’s Top Ten hits include “All Roads Lead to You,” “Heart Trouble,” “Some Fools Never Learn,” and “What I Didn’t Do.” He co-wrote and recorded the 1998 hit “Holes in the Floor of Heaven,” which was named Song of the Year by both the Academy of Country Music and the Country Music Association. Wariner also wrote “Longneck Bottle” (Garth Brooks), “Nothin’ but the Taillights” (Clint Black), and “Where the Blacktop Ends” (Keith Urban). Opened in 1957, Studio B was the vision of RCA executive, producer, and guitar virtuoso Chet Atkins, who produced thousands of records in the room. In the 1970s, Atkins hired Wariner to play bass in his band, signed him to his first recording contract, and eventually named him a “C.G.P.,” or “Certified Guitar Player,” a distinction given to only five musicians. Wariner was recently inducted into the Musicians Hall of Fame and is a member of the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and the National Thumbpickers Hall of Fame. A brief tour of the studio will be offered at 7:00 p.m. Historic RCA Studio B, 1611 Roy Acuff Place, Nashville, TN 37203. Tickets are $39.50.
