Steve Dean wrote “Fast Lanes and Country Roads” (Barbara Mandrell), “Hearts Aren’t Made to Break (They’re Made to Love)” (Lee Greenwood), “It Takes a Little Rain (to Make Love Grow)” (Oak Ridge Boys), “Round About Way” (George Strait), “Southern Star” (Alabama), “Walk On” (Reba McEntire), and “Watching You” (Rodney Atkins). Bill Whyte wrote “Crickets” (Joe Nichols), “Finger Picking Good” (Kristy Cox), “I’m Going Ugly Early Tonight” (Cledus T. Judd), “Retired” (Ray Stevens), “Safe Haven” (Hillary Scott & the Scott Family), and songs recorded by Linda Davis and Jerry Salley. Whyte is a member of the Country Radio Hall of Fame. Ford Theater. Included with museum admission. Program ticket required. Free to museum members.
