Musician Spotlight: Carl Miner

Nashville studio pro and flatpicking champion Carl Miner has performed with a broad range of talents including Fiona Apple, Bobby Bones & the Raging Idiots, and Mumford & Sons. Miner played mandolin and guitar on Taylor Swift’s 2012 album Red and has recorded with Lauren Alaina, Kevin Fowler, Carly Pearce, and Chris Young. Miner’s impressive credentials include a flatpicking championship at the prestigious Walnut Valley Festival in Winfield, Kansas, in 1999 and a second-place finish in the same competition in 2007. Ford Theater. Included with museum admission. Free to museum members.​
