Museum Store Pop-Up: Chain Stitch Embroidery by Fort Lonesome

Austin, Texas-based clothier Fort Lonesome produces custom-embroidered western wear in the tradition of Nudie’s Rodeo Tailors, a company known for its highly stylized and flashy stage wear designed for the likes of Gene Autry, Elvis Presley, Hank Williams, and Porter Wagoner. Fort Lonesome’s clientele includes musicians Nikki Lane, Jenny Lewis, and Midland. Shop owner and lead designer Kathie Sever will be on site to apply exclusive Fort Lonesome patches and make small customizations to your denim clothing with her vintage Singer chain stitch embroidery machine.
