Homeschool Day: Holiday Cards with Hatch Show Print

Discover how a letterpress print shop established in 1879 thrives in the digital age. In this interactive virtual program live from Hatch Show Print, students learn about the letterpress printing process, from initial sketches to the final pass through the press. Then, students will become graphic designers as they create their own holiday card, inspired by the look and feel of Hatch Show Print.


Recommended for ages eight and up, but all are welcome. Guardian is required to be present for children under thirteen.


Takes place via Zoom. Space is limited. Registration and $10 family fee required. Museum members are free.


Recommended materials:

  • Pencil
  • Paper, for drafting ideas and for the final card
  • Coloring supplies, such as pencils, markers, paint, crayons, etc.

By signing up for this program, you are confirming that a guardian will be present with youth under age thirteen. An educator will send a Zoom invitation to you by 9:30 a.m. the morning of the program.
