Film Screening: Old Crow Medicine Show: 50 Years of Blonde on Blonde: The Concert (2017)

Feb 04, 2018

In May 2016, Grammy-winning Grand Ole Opry stringband Old Crow Medicine Show reinvented Bob Dylan’s 1966 classic double album, Blonde on Blonde, at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum’s CMA Theater. Old Crow created a testament to Dylan’s mastery and to the enduring power of old-time music, and celebrated the museum’s exhibit Dylan, Cash, and the Nashville Cats: A New Music City. This film captures the show in its entirety, from the band’s rambunctious entrance, beating bass drum on “Rainy Day Women #12 & 35,” to the sprawling closer, “Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands.” 70 minutes. Included with Museum admission.
