Family Program: Songwriting 101

Write a song as a group in this introductory workshop. Music professional Adam Ollendorff will teach the fundamentals of songwriting, including form, theme, and rhyme scheme. In honor of Martin Luther King, participants will listen to a significant song from the Civil Rights Movement for inspiration. At workshop’s end, the class will sing and record their original song. Ollendorff has toured with Kacey Musgraves, performed with Willie Nelson, and written songs with Jim Lauderdale and Maren Morris. Ages 7 and up. Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with museum admission. Free to museum members. Limited seating.
