Write a song as a group in this introductory workshop. Songwriter Kayley Nell Walker will teach the fundamentals of songwriting, including form, theme, and rhyme scheme. Participants will listen to a popular song to get the creative juices flowing, then sing and record their newly written song. Walker is a museum educator and singer-songwriter who has performed on NBC’s Today show. In 2016, her EP Wanderlust was nominated for an Independent Music Award. Presented in support of Artober Nashville, a month-long celebration of the arts. All ages. Takes place at the Nashville Public Library Green Hills Branch, 3701 Benham Ave., Nashville, TN 37215.
