Community Pop-up: Basic Bookmaking at Nashville Public Library, Edmondson Pike Branch

May 14, 202210:30 AM - 11:30 AM

The Museum travels to the Nashville Public Library’s Edmondson Pike Branch to make books, perfect for capturing ideas, drawings, and stories. Inspiration is all around, and ideas can come to you at any moment. Many writers keep a notebook on hand to jot down thoughts and dreams, and visual artists often draw concepts in a sketchpad. Explore the world around you and make your own notebook to capture ideas when inspiration strikes in this workshop. Decorate the cover with a design, a title, or your name, then use your new book to write or sketch. Recommended for ages 5 and up, but all are welcome. Presented in support of the Nashville Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge. Takes place at the Nashville Public Library’s Edmondson Pike Branch, 5501 Edmondson Pk., Nashville, TN, 37211. Free.
