Lillie Mae has traveled across the country playing music since picking up the fiddle at seven years old. In her early teens, Mae formed a bond with mentor Cowboy Jack Clement, and he produced her 2008 major-label debut on Arista with her band, Jypsi. White Stripes front man Jack White hired Mae in 2012 to play fiddle and mandolin in his backing band, the Peacocks, and he produced her 2017 release, Forever and Then Some. Mae leads her own band and has backed artists such as Rosanne Cash, Jason Isbell, Taj Mahal, Willie Nelson, Margo Price, and John Prine. Ford Theater. Included with museum admission.
