Family Program: Songwriting 101

Write a song as a group in this introductory workshop. Nashville-based singer-songwriter Jennie Hayes Kurtz will teach the fundamentals of songwriting, including form, imagery, and rhyme scheme. Participants will listen to a veterans-themed song to get the creative juices flowing. At the end, participants will sing and record their newly written song. Kurtz is a founding member of the duo Brother and The Hayes, which performs Americana rock inspired by the music of artists such as Emmylou Harris and Guy Clark. Ages seven and up. Veterans Day at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is presented by Zaxby’s.  Taylor Swift Education Center. Included with museum admission. Free to museum members. Limited seating.​
