Family Program: Songwriting 101: Little Big Town Style

Saturday, May 18, 2019 - 10:30am

Write a song as a group in this introductory workshop. Nashville-based songwriter Kristen Bearfield will teach the fundamentals of songwriting, including form, imagery, and rhyme scheme. Participants will listen to a Little Big Town song to get the creative juices flowing, then sing and record their newly written song. Bearfield has played with Country Music Hall of Fame member Jimmy Fortune (of the Statler Brothers) and currently tours with the country-gospel group HighRoad. Presented in support of the exhibit Little Big Town: The Power of Four. Ages seven and up. Taylor Swift Education Center. Limited seating.
