All for the Hall Events
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum holds two all-star All for the Hall benefit concerts each year. One benefit occurs each year in Nashville, with Keith Urban and Vince Gill heading a 2016 lineup that included Luke Bryan, Peter Frampton, Florida Georgia Line, Emmylou Harris, Sam Hunt, Jason Isbell, Maddie & Tae, and Maren Morris. The other benefit, which occurs in New York and Los Angeles in alternating years, is modeled on the Nashville institution of a “guitar pull,” a casual affair in which songwriters take turns presenting works while other artists look on and often join in. Vince Gill, Kacey Musgraves, Chris Stapleton, James Taylor, and Joe Walsh traded songs and stories onstage in Los Angeles in 2016. In this year alone, All for the Hall events have netted over $900,000 for the Museum’s educational programs.
