Live Classics features 21 Grand Ole Opry performances from 1951-1960. In addition to Marty Robbins' favorites such as "El Paso" and "Singing the Blues," the album includes songs Robbins never recorded for commercial release including "Ain't You Ashamed" and "Good Night Cincinnati, Good Mornin' Tennessee." Enhancing the live feel of this album are introductions by Red Foley and Ernest Tubb and frequent eruptions of applause from the Opry audiences. The collection includes extensive liner notes by the Country Music Foundation's Ronnie Pugh.
