The Rymer Gallery
The Rymer Gallery is one of the largest contemporary art galleries in downtown Nashville and a core member of the popular arts destination 5th Avenue of the Arts. Established in 2007, the gallery specializes in contemporary fine art from emerging and established artists while fostering work that engages enthusiasts and collectors in Nashville’s expanding art scene.
Jeff Grady founded Digital Lifestyle Outfitters in 2000, after inventing one of the first popular cases for iPods. DLO went on to produce an extensive line of accessories for electronic devices and was bought in 2007 by the Dutch electronics firm Philips N.V. As an artist, Grady unites his entrepreneurial achievements with his interest in the aesthetic appeal of modern technology. Grady’s art features recycled iPod Nanos, arranged into mosaics on sheets of glass, depicting iconic digital-era images such as the Apple logo and video-game figures from Pac-Man and Mario Bros. This series initially opened at the respected 111 Minna Gallery in San Francisco in April 2014. Grady is a resident of Charleston, South Carolina.
