SCHOOL PROGRAMS

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum provides a variety of school and teacher programs that address national and state curriculum standards in language arts, math, music, science, social studies, and visual art. Interactive programs, workshops, lesson guides, online resources, and guided and self guided tours are offered to students and teachers, grades K-12.  Words & Music, the museum's cornerstone school program, gives students an opportunity to write song lyrics collaboratively with local professional songwriters.

Distance Learning

Experience the unique educational programs of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum without leaving your classroom. Our distance-learning initiative provides instructive, engaging, and fun experiences to a worldwide audience. Offerings include two of our most popular school programs, Words & Music and Is It a Fiddle or a Violin? Each year, we serve nearly 6,000 students and teachers in these programs, at the Museum or in schools around Davidson County.

All distance-learning programs include interaction with a museum educator and a member of Nashville's vibrant musical community. Pre- and post-program lessons address Tennessee and national education standards, with focus on fine arts/music, social studies/history, language arts/English, and/or writing.
