Legends, Lunch, and Lyrics

Nashville is home to great country music and great country cooking, and it all comes together in this brand new offering at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum.  Groups enjoy a traditional Nashville "Meat N' Three" lunch, as they are entertained by the songs and stories of one of Nashville's most accomplished songwriters, and insight on the songwriting craft.

Cash On Cash

No one told a story quite like Johnny Cash, and that tradition continues with this new program offered ONLY at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. Enjoy a private performance and discussion with Johnny and June's son John Carter Cash. John Carter will entertain you with his own original music, as well as a few numbers made famous by his legendary family, and answer questions from the audience. The program will conclude with a meet and greet with John Carter Cash.

Star For A Day: Group Recording

This itinerary begins with a group tour of Historic RCA Studio B. Groups then work with a professional sound engineer in a 30-minute, choir-style recording session. For a nominal fee, each group member receives his or her own copy of the recording as a one-of-a-kind souvenir.

Groups then tour the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum for approximately two hours. The tour concludes with a meal at the world-famous Wildhorse Saloon (lunch or dinner option available), where groups enjoy listening to their previously recorded songs on the Wildhorse Saloon's state-of-the-art sound system.

The Stories Behind The Songs: Group Songwriter

After touring the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum, group members participate in a 45-minute private session with one of Nashville's accomplished songwriters. Visitors are given insight on the craft of songwriting from concept to hit.

These up close and personal sessions give guests a rare opportunity to hear recognizable hits in their original forms. Sessions conclude with a meet and greet with the writer (who has his or her recordings available for purchase) and autographs.

Sharing The Art of Songwriting: Group Songwriting

After touring the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum, group members join one of Music City's hit-making writers for an hour-long session on the craft of songwriting. By offering personal insight and direction, the writer guides the group in creating an original song. 

Guests are encouraged to offer lyric ideas in an improvisational and unpredictable style that keeps the fun rolling. And before the hour is over, our songwriter delights the group one more time by performing their finished song.

Music City Showcase: Special Performance

The Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum provides an excellent opportunity for the many performance-groups visiting Nashville. Groups ranging from small ensembles of 20 or less to marching bands of up to 100 members are welcomed to perform to an audience.

The Legacy Continues

Enhance your Group's RCA Studio B tour experience by adding a performance by Jason Coleman, grandson of Rock-n-Roll and Country Music Hall of Fame member Floyd Cramer. You will be thoroughly entertained as Jason plays the songs of his grandfather on the same Steinway piano that Floyd's biggest hits were recorded on.  Jason will also be available for questions and a meet-and-greet following his performance.
