The Minnie Pearl Show was a pilot for a CBS sitcom that was never aired. Minnie Pearl played the proprietress of a Nashville boarding house full of misfits. The 16mm film, from the museum's Frist Library and Archive, has been color-restored, and this marks the first screening of the footage. 25 minutes. The Life and Times of Minnie Pearl is a TNN-produced documentary that tells the story of Sarah Cannon's life. Through vintage film clips and interviews with her friends and fellow comedians, the film illuminates Cannon's legacy and reveals how she created the character Minnie Pearl.
