Kim McLean wrote “Beautiful Goodbye” (Jennifer Hanson), “Forever Everyday” (Lee Ann Womack), “Stuck in Love” (the Judds), and songs recorded by Billy Gilman, Tim McGraw, and Trisha Yearwood. Her song “Count Your Blessings,” recorded by the Martins, received a Dove award for Country Gospel Song of the Year in 1999, and her song “I Guess We Shouldn’t Talk About That Now” was included on Bettye LaVette’s Grammy-nominated album The Scene of the Crime. McLean also co-authored, with late Country Music Hall of Fame member Loretta Lynn, A Song and A Prayer, a collection of lyrics and prayers inspired by their songwriting sessions. Ford Theater. Included with Museum admission. Program ticket required. Free to Museum members.
